Unhappy This Bold w/new OS is getting on my nerves!

A major annoyance with the new OS. I can't figure out why but every time I reboot or pull the battery I get double facebook messages in my message folder. Sometimes I can delete the doubles and sometimes I can't. WTF.. I have the latest version of Facebook.

Has anyone else had this problem? Would uninstalling FB and reinstalling fix this?

Also, occasionally when I am using the camera the phone freezes up for no reason. Anyone else have this problem.?

Anything you can suggest to help would be so appreciated.

    Thanks.

Did you do the upgrade OTA or App Loader or Desktop Manager? And which version did you upgrade to. I have 6.0.0.466 that was leaked. I have read a few posts similar to this and the suggestion is that there could be issues if you have done the OTA update instead of App Loader or Desktop Manager. If you know how to do the App Loader I would suggest that.

delete facebook thru desktop manager? I haven't tried that.

I have always downloaded FB and other apps via OTA and had never ever had a problem like this until the new OS 6.

IDK? You know how glitchy these thing are? I would just try different methods to see if it fixes the issue then when you get it fixed back it up.

I would delete facebook and re-install it. See if that takes care of the problem.

466 was a leak and you can't do it OTA.
There are known issues with 466 of SMS messages being doubled, etc. Most people who had that happen went back to 431.

That's a problem with Facebook not the OS.

I tried that with no luck. Turn the messages app off within FB options.

You could try v1.8.x, I think there are links to it on here. I like 1.9 better.
