Default Backlight brightness stuck at 100

I change the setting but the brightness doesn't change. Known bug? Fixes?

When I set it to 0 and save, it dims what seems like the slightest bit.

Where are you using it? Like the bbphones, their is an ambient light sensor in the led next to the front camera. Outdoors you can generally not adjust it was it goes max by itself.

I was using it at night in a dark house. Looks like it isn't stuck on 100 but the difference between 100 and 10 is barely noticeable to me!

Oh, I see you have the BOLD listed as device. So what do you think?

And you actually got a pb? Congrats (I hope).

Whoops, I got to this thread from your comment and link the the pb forum. So I thought you were referring to the playbook. (and your link was broken by the way, you had a /br in the link).

Yes, the BOLD has always had that flaw. There is almost no discernible difference in brightness. It never was addressed from what I can tell but since I'm still on OS5.x, maybe they did eventually do something about it.

Okay, once more. No you posted this in the BOLD (essex) forum. But you had posted a link to this thread in the pb forum. I was confused defending my troll status over there!

Ah ok, thanks! I just worry that the bright setting is a battery drain.

I forgot I posted my question in BJ's conspiricy thread. Haha. It was getting a lot of views...more than the threads aksing for help.

Hmmm.

My tour also seems like changing brightness does nothing.

And YOU certainly are not helping rim by sticking with that dirty balled Tour.

My 9650 was a replacement for the Tour when Verizon had run out of refurbs and were apologetically offering a free upgrade to the Bold. I voiced some hesitation (not wanting to act to excited) and they said YES, SURE, CERTAINLY!!!

I looked at the 9930 about a week ago and want to give it another look. But I'm not rushing.

(firefox was just interrupted by a message from the DM 7 (beta??) saying it needed to close Firefox)

LOL yes my one and only tour still works fine. I just want something newer with wifi. Probably end getting the 9860/50 due to my carrier not having the bold.
