Default Back button problems while browsing net

No luck with my search for this topic...

Just upgraded from my 8330 to a 9650, on verizon. I am using the blackberry browser and have tried firefox also, with the problem occuring using both. So for instance, I will be viewing craigslist and will have selected a posting. Upon pressing the back button to return, it ends up taking me all the way to my home screen, as if I had pressed the end button. Then, when I click onto the browser icon, its shows only the "goto" screen. My homepage is google. This occurs frequently and with any webpage. Has anyone encountered this?

In my browser configuration, I have UNselected "allow javascript popups" and also "terminate slow running scripts" for interenet and hotspot browsing.

I admit, I dont frequent this site unless Im trying to clear up problems or check out new gear and Its probable that I have overlooked frequented info on popular settings. I would appreciate anyone who could point me in the right direction.

    Thanks!

You may need to use a slower Key Rate. The newer devices will close apps using the BAck Key if you hold it briefly. The faster your Key Rate is set, the quicker you have to click the back key. Any hesitation or a hard click can close you out.

Good deal. I have adapted to it now, but since you said you just transitioned from Curve, I figure that was your likely culprit. The Bold/Tour buttons take a lighter touch than you're probably used to, and with time, you'll be able to speed it back up again.
