9650 Charging pod not working.

I am running os 5 .975 and am having difficulties getting my new charging pod to work. Normal charging port works but the back contacts seem to not work. I've tried using different chargers and nothing. I put it in the pod and it does nothing, did a few battery pulls and that did not fix anything. I even cleaned the contacts. Any suggestions are very welcome!

Just some random ideas,
Is the light 'on' indicating power to the charging pod?
Are you sure it is a pod designed for the 9630/9650 (have you used it before successfully)?
Are the charging 'pins' making contact with the contacts on the back of the phone?

If you have access to an electrical multimeter you should be able to determine if there is power being provided to the charging pod pins. This would at least tell you if the charging pod was defective.
