I had no problem with email when I updated to 719. I just re-entered the passwords and all of my email accounts were active. Don't forget to register your device and send service books.

I also "PIN'd" myself & that part is working just fine...
And the BIG question: Do I really want to install the upgrade to 719 again before calling...I downgraded trying to solve the email problem...It it worth it to re-install??

Since I got my email back it is a better version than the prior. No major changes, just a touch quicker, more responsive and stable. A bit more polished.
Obviously don't call from your BB, Verizon Tech: (800) 922-0204. Tell them your email issue and ask the tech to check to verify you pin and blackberry ID.

| | 719 email problems...some resolution
I have had/still have the same problems.
I called Verizon tech support and got some help. I had written all of my email passwords and went to the BIS site to resend the service books. My email accounts were there, but after I tried to resend the service books, it said NONE of my email accounts were verified.
I got all but one account resolved with the Verizon tech support. I called them from a different telephone; eventually, they helped re-set andverify all but one email account. The one account I could not get squared away was my gmail account. It kept rejecting the password.
I have since gone to gmail and changed my password.........several times!
I STILL can't get the gmail account verified for my blackberry. I thought that, perhaps, since I've reset my gmail password several times, that google's system hasn't processed all of the changes so it goes through to allow the blackberry verification, but that was last night...........and it still won't work.

| | No Gmail after update
I can log onto my gmail account from my computer without any difficulty, but when I am in the email set-up for my blackberry, I get an error message that my password is incorrect and the account cannot be verified.
EDIT: It's now a little after 5:00 pm EST; I tried to add the gmail account through my bb setup. FINALLY, it recognized the password, verified and activated the gmail account.

FINALLY, it recognized the password, verified and activated the gmail account. | I think what's causing a lot of these problems, is not giving the phone and BIS servers enough time to coordinate. I waited about 15 minutes, till the choice between personal and enterprise email came up, then a little while longer for the selection to switch devices popped up, and then activating the first email account took yet a while longer. Why the new device deal is happening through Desktop I haven't a clue, but I'm willing to bet it wouldn't if instead the OS was installed on the PC, and the upgrade done using Loader.exe. Having to re-validate every email has been happening for most of my last few upgrades. That part appears to have become the norm.

Nope, BBW. I waited 2 days with no email. I resent service books, re registered HRT.
Kept getting the same error message.
I don't know why DM didn't do the new device switch either. But it didn't I didn't know about the site that Fubar posted. Glad I do now though. I didn't want to call tech support again.

That's why I'm trying to warn everyone to heed my advice and download the OS instead. I can say with almost 100% certainty, avoiding DM to upgrade would eliminate all this frustration.

It's been a few days since I got my email accounts back and I have not had problems since then with the updated OS.
All the same, though, if anyone from RIM is monitoring these forums, this is unacceptable. At a time when RIM seems to be fighting for their very existence while iOS and Android devices gain market share every day, RIM seems to be losing the biggest advantage they have ever had that keeps businesses wanting to stay with Blackberry. These kinds of things need to go smoothly every time. The next time I see an updated OS available, I'm darn sure going to wait a bit to see if there are issues. That should not happen with BB updates. Too many business users depend on their berries to communicate.
