I love the Zen theme on my Bold, but it would be awesome if I could change the background in the Apps-screen as well, as it is dull blue now (same background for home screen and -apps-screen would be great).

Are there Zen-like theme where this is possible ?

Possible. Go to the themes forum, and search in the Bold Themes. I think there are 2 or more, but old.
