Default will vodaphone 9000 work on tmobile usa w/ 3g

as the title states, im not sure if the bands are compatible. I'd love to go back to a bold 9000 and stay on simple mobile/tmobile if I could retain 3g speeds. Thanks in advance

For Germany I can say that it should work.

If there is a sim-look it should be possible to unlock it e.G. pay 10$ to one of these unlocker companies.

For older devices like my old 8300 the devices were somehow locked by hardware (I was told) and it was not possible to use BIS with a Vodafone device in a T-Mobile network etc. even if the device is not sim-locked.

But with 8900 or 9000 RIM changed that. (9000 is older, then it is the 9000, and it should also work on a 8900 )

No, it won't work. It uses the 2100, 1900 and 850MHz UMTS frequences, when T-Mobile operates at 1700MHz.

Thanks for the info, I was hoping there was a branded 9000 from Europe that matched the same bands, oh well. I personally disliked at&t and even have a bold is not worth dealing with them again.

Default Unlock Blackberry bold 9000 from Vodafone for AT&T

If your Blackberry is unlcoked you can use any carrier on the GSM network but for fast connection you can use it with AT&T sim card..
You can also use the T-mobile sim card but you will get EDGE speed.
