dealsishop.com sells them with a bottom plate sans carrier logo and all mesh covers already installed... they also shipped me a part in two days, legit.

I just did mine and got it from ebay and it came in 2 days (I'm in New York City) and it fit perfectly. I'm thrilled how my blacked-out Bold looks now.

Where is this mesh cover everyone talks about? Isn't the mesh grille on the top of the screen on the in the midplate or motherboard?

Yep. The ones I have sanded and painted myself look better than OEM. If you drop it or chip it just re-sand it and re-paint. You really can't go wrong....
