CDMA carriers will definately NOT get it first. Its been rumored that At&t may have it exclusively in the US for the first 6 months but we will have to wait and see. I know one thing for sure the day its available for At&t, I will be purchasing.

You got that one right.

The Niagra is the CDMA version, already testing, so it MIGHT not be a whole year for those CDMA guys!

pretty sure the 6months exclusive, is for the US. I would think that ATT Rogers and Vodafone will be releasing them all around the same time.

I know canada always gets everything after the states including phones. But its just weird that it applies to blackberry too considering RIM is canadian.

Ohh I don't think the blackberry 9000 is called niagara. Its called blackberry bold I think, but that's not official yet.. Its been clarified that niagara is some other cdma device verizon is getting.

At&t will probably get it first... I personally am very happy with att service here in south orange county. I switched from verizon and have never been happier with a cell provider

Default Carrier's in the UK

Hi

Anyone know or want to guess how long Vodfone will have the 9000 before any other uk carrier. Or better still how long before there on sale via ebay.

Alex

There is already an existing thread on this same topic in this forum.

The popular concensus is that at&t/666 will probably get a short lead, followed by T-Mobile and then lastly followed by the CDMA carriers (Verizon and Sprint).

With regard to your question on best carrier, both J.D. Power and Consumer Reports rate Verizon and T-Mobile as the better carriers in the USA. Their ratings on at&t/666 are generally not flattering.
