Default Way to disable increase in brightness when watching videos?

I have searched high and low in the menus but I can't find a way to prevent the screen brightness from increasing when I watch a video. Is there even a way to do it?

    Thanks in advance!

Set "automatically dim backlight" to Off.

The screen only reverts to the Non dimmed setting when playing multimedia. So if you turn off the dim setting then it will be the same all the time. Then just lower the brightness if it is too bright.

Does that disable the ambient light sensor and lock the brightness at one value?
