VVM Message Notification?

I downloaded the new .297 OS update for my Bold earlier today, and then called AT&T and had the new VVM app provisioned...but although I've had several voicemail messages since the privisioning, I don't get any kind of notification icon or red "*" like I thought I would get alerting me that I have unread voicemails...like I get when I have new/unread email or SMS messages.

Should I get any kind of visual notification of new, unread voicemail messages?

stupid question, but here it goes. did you click on your vvm icon and go through the setup procedure? if you did not this might be the reason you are not getting any notification.

You need to hold down "1" and setup a password and greetings all over again before you can use vvm. Then go to vvm and type in the password and all will be setup.
