Default Videos on the Blackberry Bold

What is the deal with videos on the Bold? I have tried to add videos but they don't seem to work. Is there a certain format or something?

What format are they in? If they are not playing natively, then yes you will likely need to convert them. There is the media manager option that comes from RIM or alternately the word on the board here seems to be to use Handbrake to convert.

AVIs and MP4s work great on mine. I've been using DVD Ripper Express for most and have recently been using Handbrake. Both work great.

Most times its because the resolution is too much for the bold to handle, so another +1 for Handbrake. A full dvd movie takes a long time to convert, but well worth it
