Angry Video problems with bold

So I have read the forum and spent hours trying to get video files to play properly on my bold..

I already tried 6 different programs that were recomended by forum users - hand brake, ipodme, Movavi Video Converter 6 and others...

I keep running into different problems everytime.. and can not get a decent video..

Every attempt i have converted with Movavi my movies come out with NO sound and yes I have the full version..

Handbreak - movie sound would be off, the sound would be behind the movie making very annoying..

other programs just dont work period.. or sometimes the sound works perfectly but the video is just PINK...

I dont understand why im having such a problem..

Even if I copy .AVI divx movies straight to the blackberry they either dont work or come up with a PINK SCREEN...

another time I ripped one - that was 400mb quality and sound was good but then the movie would skip A LOT .....

getting extremely frustrated =/ help if anyone can???

The Handbrake sync problem for Bold users has been documented, and there is a workaround that involves using the Classic setting in the preset instead. Check out pisulo's HandBrake Settings for Bold -Additional Settings doc in the A quick guide for Handbrake for Bold thread. I need to bump that thread in any event to update a little problem I had there.

Ipod 5g support is meant to sort out audio/video sync issues in handbrake. I've converted about 30 films and never had a sync problem with the audio/video

Could the problem be I am used these programs with the source being .avi (divx) files?

I have not tried doing Dvd's.. I backup all my movies to Divx .avi already and they are about 700MBs...

I am trying to already use a pre-encoded file like that and convert it again for sakes of it being 350-450mb instead of 700..?

Maybe its not working because I'm trying to convert converted files lol..

Also anyone ever see the Pink screen problem?? i tried playing a .avi Divx movie that i know works and the sound works but the screen is just PINK once i copy it to the bold.

Although I've not tried it, someone who had the sync problem reported a loss of video when checking the iPod 5G box. The additional Classic setting described worked for this person. Me, too, although when I have time to kill, I'll try 5G for the heck of it, primarily to see if this results in a smaller file size.

I have almost exclusively used 700mb AVI's in the conversion. Works fine, so that's not your issue. I have done only a few DVD's, but the outcome has also been fine.
