Hey guys. i need some help. i have a BB 9000 from telefonica movistar. i need to update the software to 5.0 but whenever i try the methods told by other users it still gives me the 4.6 version to update. i want to get the 5 version. please help. is there any other way to do this. i dont have a data plan atm but any help would be appreciated.

Uninstall all but the update you want to put on your phone, then on your computer, navigate to Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and click on loader.exe. This will bypass desktop manager, which is most likely the cause of your problems. Just make sure you use desktop manager to back up your phone first, then close it and use the loader.
