Lightbulb Transfer of images from digital camera

    Hi,

I've done a fair bit of research and haven't got anywhere on this I'm wanting to transfer data from my dSLR (Compact Flash) or compact (Mini SD) to my blackberry bold.

Obviously it's easy enough when I've got my PC but I want to do it 'in the field' !

Any ideas? or would I need to get a camera that has a microSD card and then just swap it into the blackberry?

    Thanks

You could do the microSD card swap. Does your camera have bluetooth? Or one of these:

ive had the phone for 11 days now, upgraded os to .247, unbranded using a different vsm, and, worst of all, i have broken the warranty seal because i blacked the bold out...

If you just connect your camera to your pc, and transfer all the pics to your pc, you can just connect the media card you're using in your bold to your pc and just drag the folder to the media card in the folder that you'd like.

No, haven't got bluetooth on the camera. My compact is about 5yrs old! The links looks interesting, thanks for that.

Might be a case of buying a cheap camera with microSD and just swapping then.

Once again, I have to agree with poe. That's what I do. Acutally, I have a multi-card reader, so I can exchange information between micro, mini, and standard SD cards. I think they make similar readers that incorporate compact flash slots, too.

Hmmm... "in the field"... Just get loads of compact flash, no? Then transfer pics when you get home. Or are you looking to send pics via your phone while you're "in the field"?

Absoloutely amazing that you posted this thread in 2009 and in 2012 RIM still doesn't get it & make a few simple changes to address this.
