Trackball not responding! Keys giving strange feedback! Please help!
Out of the blue I started having this problem with my bold.
When I press the trackball nothing happens. When I press the talk button it acts as the k and j key combined and when i press the power button it acts as the M key. I tried doing a reset and upgrade of the firmware but to no avail. Any solutions? - 06-17-2009, 07:24 AM #2
If a neither battery reset nor a fresh OS install corrected it, then it sounds like a hardware issue.

ive had the phone for 11 days now, upgraded os to .247, unbranded using a different vsm, and, worst of all, i have broken the warranty seal because i blacked the bold out... - 06-17-2009, 07:26 AM

No neither did, it seems to be a problem only with the top 4 keys and trackball

This exact issue seems to come up too often. The only resolution I have seen is a warranty replacement. Sorry.

I would say if it's under warranty just get them to send you a replacement, but if you're not then maybe going to a shop is the only option
