Default Trackball not responding! Keys giving strange feedback! Please help!

Out of the blue I started having this problem with my bold.
When I press the trackball nothing happens. When I press the talk button it acts as the k and j key combined and when i press the power button it acts as the M key. I tried doing a reset and upgrade of the firmware but to no avail. Any solutions?

If a neither battery reset nor a fresh OS install corrected it, then it sounds like a hardware issue.

No neither did, it seems to be a problem only with the top 4 keys and trackball

This exact issue seems to come up too often. The only resolution I have seen is a warranty replacement. Sorry.

No warranty? I would get an estimate, might cost more to fix than replace.

I would say if it's under warranty just get them to send you a replacement, but if you're not then maybe going to a shop is the only option
