    Default Taking mine back.....battery issue

Tired of the battery performance. It's 11am, phone has been on for 5 hours. Have made like 1 call. Browsed the internet for 5 minutes. GPS off. Wifi off........... and I only have about 1.5 ticks (out of 5) on my battery indicator.

2 weeks ago I took it back to the AT&T store and they said "oh...it's just a bad reading...take your battery out and put it back in". Seemed to do the trick.

Yesterday, before noon, my battery indicator was already red.

Thankfully I'm still within the 30 days so I'm going to demand a new phone today. I doubt it's the battery itself. Although I guess it could be.

Question ------ if they give me a new/replacement phone today, do I have 30 days from today to return it if there are problems?

I think however much is left of the 30 days is the amount of time you are within when you get the new phone. To me this sounds like a hardware issue. I do pretty much the same usage as you put and my battery performance is great. Especially after I upgraded to .185 OS.

just checked the back of the AT&T receipt and it says "You may exchange/return equipment one time within the 30 day period". When they give me the new unit I'm not leaving the store until I check it out very carefully.

What OS is it running. My mate had to change his twice before he got one that worked and that was only cos it came out of the factory with the latest OS.

    Default os

    i'm running .167

that's what was installed on the unit when I got it. I'm wondering if I should upgrade now and see if it improves... OR.... get a new one and see if that solves the issue....and if it doesn't, then upgrade the new one. My "cutoff" date for return at the store is 2 days from now so I think I'm better off getting the new unit and see how it works out. Would you agree that's the best way to go?

Gonna go tomorrow. But I'm uninstalling Facebook tonight. Quite a few complaints about it being a battery drainer. I installed it last week....right about the time my battery situation went south fast. Will let y'all know how that works out.
