Stock Headphones Cheap?
I've read a few headphone threads here, but I didn't see one where their stock headphones stopped working, or in my case, one ear bud simply quick working.
At one point today it was working, then later in the day ... nothing.
Anyone else run across this? Did you bother with any sort of warranty claim? If so, was it approved? - 02-19-2009, 04:37 PM #2
I personally didn't like the headphones that came with my Bold because they did sit in my ear too well. I will probably opt for some radius earphones or something like that

Stok headphone are cheap and low quality. There are better headphones out there but they probably be costly.

These are what I bought:
Amazon.com: Sennheiser CX 400 In-Ear Headphone (Black): Electronics
Someone here recommended the 300 version and after looking at the customer reviews I decided to go with the 400's are they are GREAT. Excellent headphones for the price and I have not had any issues with them so far. The one thing I didn't like, however, is that the cord isn't all that long and comes with an extension instead of it just being a longer cord, but it really isn't that big of an issue.
Now they also make a 500 model, but since they are being used with a Blackberry and not an iPod or other good MP3 player, I don't recommend spending the extra money for them. The difference between the 400's and the 300's however are well worth the minor price difference.

Yes, the headphones are cheap. However, mine fit quite nicely and give me pretty decent sound.

Mine work fine, fit well and sound great. Far better than the open type ipod stock jobs.
I would take them back to the shop and ask for a rwplacement. They probably have several sets from the demo units lying around doing nothing f

I noticed on the Blackberry site that they were quite expensive. In that regards, was kind of surprised to see them fail so quick. Then again, I've never held much hope for something that comes 'standard.'
For now, the old iPod headphones will have to do for listening at work, until I research some of the other options presented in this thread.
