Screen & Lock
Two questions about my BB Bold:
1) Is there any way the screen can light up/turn on when I receive any type of message or notification? I guess this is something I was just used to with all my other (technologically behind) phones.
and
2) Is there a setting that looks the keyboard after a certain period of time? Like 30 seconds, a minute, etc? I would be okay with my screen staying on for 1 minute, then as the screen dims the keyboard also locks. I'm not sure if this is possible or if I'm just missing a very obvious setting. - 01-21-2009, 02:46 PM #2
1- There's an app called BBLight. I think that's the program that helps you in this situation.
2-Go to options>screen/keyboard - 01-21-2009, 02:49 PM #3Tronyx's Important & Popular Blackberry Links (This one is worth the visit, Kids)

I see the option to change the backlight timeout time, but not to lock the keyboard when the screen dims.

Cant answer your first question as that would be something that id like to find out...at the moment when my device locks and the screen goes off...i get an email or sms and it doesnt light up...all it does is blink the led at me...which is ok i guess but i wish it would wake up. But as of yet i havent been able to find a solution...so hoping someone will know if there is a way of that happening.
As for the second question...again id like to know the answer to that as well. At the moment i have to press the K key to lock my phone...id like it to automatically lock by itself as well. - 01-21-2009, 02:54 PM #6

I downloaded BBLight but I don't see an option to turn it on when I get an SMS or email. Also, it doesn't even turn back on when I move the scroll wheel. Only when I push it.
