BBerry bold browser > opera mini browser.

Also, +1 for the new google sync. There is now bi-directional syncing for your contacts (an awesome feature)

Wow! Thanks so much everyone for all the great suggestions! I sure do appreciate all the help!

I downloaded Viigo and love it! I've been using it a lot.

The BB browser is great so I won't bother messing with Opera.

I'm going to be checking out those themes that some of you have listed too!

I'll be trying out those cool keyboard shortcuts too!

Does anyone know off hand if there is a good screen capture program for BlackBerrys?

Thanks again!!!

+1 for Viigo
+1 for Google Sync-gives me OTA calendar syncing without having to use a BES.

There was one thing I noticed about Dieter's video is that he didnt haven a bunch of buttons that would work like shortcuts to apps like email and the browser, etc. I think its very important that every new blackberry user learn the keyboard shortcuts of his/her device.

Press the green send key to open up the phone application. Then press the menu button > Options > General Options > Then look for "Dial from Home Screen" and set this option to "No"

Now you can make full use of your qwerty keyboard and use key shortcuts like pressing B to go to the browser, M for messages, O brings up the options menu and theres many more. No need to clutter up the device with numerous other buttons when the keyboard itself can serve those purposes.

I'm surprised no one has suggested Vlingo yet (that I saw anyway). Vlingo let's you control most of the device with your voice, from opening apps, composing texts/emails, or updating Twitter and Facebook.

vlingo

Good luck Jennifer.

mortys11, I downloaded CaptureIt but I couldn't get it to work. It's in the download folder and it shows up when I press Menu, but when I click on CaptureIt in the Menu option, I can't tell that it does anything. I looked through my pictures and don't see any screenshots.

I downloaded SnapScreen from the CrackBerry store and even registered the program, but so far, haven't had any luck with it either. I'm sure it's something dumb that I'm doing on my part. SnapScreen is in my Download folder. I clicked on it and put in the activation number. It said that it was Registered, and then another box popped up and said, "Permission Denied". So maybe someone can tell me why that would come up when I paid for the app and registered it.

Thanks again everyone for all the suggestions! My main computer has crashed so I'm relying on my laptop and the Bold today. So I haven't had very much time to test much stuff on the Bold. Stupid computer problems. Ugh!

CrackPic is another app you could use to get a screen cap. You have to connect your phone to your laptop though.
