Default Restore factory setting.

Hi,
I had a question. My friend sent me his blackberry from Canada and I had to jailbreak it to be able to use it with the service provider in my country.
I recently noticed that my phone has very little space left which causes the phone to always lag. If I restore the phone to factory settings formatting all previous apps, will I have to jailbreak the phone again?

Thanks.

The term is unlock. And No you won't need to unlock it.

You unlocked it. BlackBerries don't get jailbroken (? ). It will always be unlocked now, but depending on the OS you're running, there's a lot more to making room than a factory reset. All that will do is remove all your personal data, and 3rd party apps if you choose. What you need to do is shrink the OS.

Thanks guys for your fast reply.
I live in Peru and my brother sent me his old Bold 9000 for me to use and when I bought a chip, it wouldn't run. So I took it to a store and they said I had to "liberated". So not sure if what I did to it was unlock. Well I would like to restore it to the original settings cause I have no idea what apps my brother installed and I don't have much space left. Also my phone is lagging and every now and it tells me to free up some space.

As you know for sure "liberated" means unlocked, making free.
But if you don't want the app from your brother goto the download folder where the app are and each app you don't like on top of it click the bb button and choose delete.
So you can delete all your app's in your bb.

I know that is one way I could do it, but I wanted to just "format" the phone so I could start from scratch. I wanted to know if I do restore to factory settings, would I have to unlock the phone again?

Thanks

What you called "format" is named as programming or update/upgrade and you find it all here.

The answer is still no.

Look in the BB help section above to find the lecture on reloading your OS.
