Very simple fix. Keyboards are available through a number of Blackberry parts distributors. And the device itself is very easy to disassemble and put back together. You'll notice several threads about people blacking out or pimping out their devices. The 9000 is very easy to modify in terms of looks.
With that said, go to Cellular Nationwide Network - 3G, Sony, Panasonic, LG, SonyEricsson, Nokia, Tools, BlackBerry, and go to the BB9000 area. There you will find videos showing you how to take one apart and put it back together (including the keyboard). They sell parts as well and I have had no problem with them. However, they are located in Hong Kong and depending on where you live it can take up to 4 weeks to get the part. I suggest shopping around. Google "Blackberry Parts"

You can find the video and parts here at cnn.cn
CNN.CN 9000 Video
This is an easy job.
Remember: order the KB and also the special screwdriver.
I also recommend ordering a new trackball at the same time.
