ok so here is the senario, I had my phone for a while then the lcd screen started to get all staticky so I was like ok well Im sure I need a new one, So I bought a new flat black case, keyboard, track ball and even a new lcd monitor, So I got all the parts except for the screen took some time to get here, so I put my sim card in an other phone I have and let the bold sit for a while until the screen came (roughly a week or 2) Well I got the screen today and Iv never been more excited, I installed it and looks good as new, fresh screen no scratches nothing, but problems...

1 - Go to power the phone on and the screen lights up white, and so dones the keyboard, but wont move from there. So I take the battery out and put it back in and then the red light comes on and stays on for about 15seconds turns off then the screen and keyboard starts up but its a dimmer white, like the brightness is turned down, and it just stays on that screen for about 2 minutes then it goes all dark unless I click the power button then the white screen comes back... Im not sure what to do or where to start im so confused and frustrated.

The only thing I can try at the moment i guess is to take and leave the battery out for a full 24 hours? While I was waiting for the screen I did leave the phone in my drawer with the battery on... What could be the problem?

ok well i downloaded BBSAK wiped the device then I downloaded 5.0.0 and installed it it said it was sucessfully installed and still the same problem. Could it be something a bit more difficult? as in the motherboard or something internal?... If it gets to pricy I might just have to buy another bold 9000

I just pluged it into the computer again after disconnectiong it for about 20mins and now there is a yellow flashing lighht, or I could be color blind and its green im not sure all I know is that im starting to think I need a new phone?

Does the phone start up without the battery in it? does it show an icon with a battery and the "Do not enter" symbol around it?

I think you might have gotten the wrong screen... i think there are 3 or 4 different models for the 9000.... make sure the old one matches the new one.

sounds like you bought the wrong screen.


theres different screens for different bolds. like my bold is the 003 bold and i have an 002 screen so when i plug it in it just shows a bright white screen. if you have the 003 screen (u check on the back of the bold lcd on the serial it will say 003/004) and you need a 002 screen we could totally trade and both of our bolds would work.




and as for the yellow light it means your battery is almost dead.

@hixi you are correct i left it charge off the computer and now the led is solid green as for the screen the old one directly in the center of the back says "VA080926BM1" on the new one it says
"H4N9340M 135068"
"LCD-12360-003/004"

so I take it I did buy the wrong LCD screen, How do I make sure that it is in fact the wrong screen? cause id like to trade you but I jsut want to make sure that the 002 screen is the one I need

alright so update, I hooked up the old screen and it does work but its all hecktic and what not so it does need a new screen.

was doing some research and on the right side not in ink but etched into the metal lightly and in just the right light I can make out "IMS265DC01" so I take it the "01" is the part im looking for? is this the 001/002 screen number i need? (sorry for all the little updates haha)

this image i attached will help you, i have a 001/004 screen. and i need a 003/004 screen. if you need a 001/004 screen and have 003/004 id be willing to trade. if you dont have 003/004 and need 001/004 i will be willing to sell it for way cheaper than you would find online
