Pptp Vpn
I have looked and searched the net over but I cannot seem to find any PPTP support for the Bold (or any BB for that matter). Is it a fact that Blackberry does not support PPTP VPN?
Thanks in advance.

There was another post about this recently, and it appears this is no 3rd party application to do this. Most enterprise users are on BES/BPS which puts you on the local intranet so there is no need for VPN client then. So if you are an IT administrator in your company the easiest (and probably only and free) solution would to be to install BPS Express, which comes with 1 free user license (CAL).

Thanks for the reply and maybe I’m just missing something but it looks like the BPS Express allows me to connect to an Exchange Server. Will it also allow me to establish a network connection to my office so that I can RDP into computers on the intranet?
Appreciate the help.

Yes, you'll be able to connect to devices on your intranet once on BPS/BES. I use MidpSSH, for example, to connect to our companies iSeries box when Im out of the office.

is there any way to get a notebook via BES to connect to a corporate network? I am desperately looking for a way to access our corporate network with my notebook (in order to syn files like presentations, offers, large docs etc.) via the BB Storm.
Any ideas?

Hi Shao128,
i have posted my full question on crackberry.com/f86/bb-storm-pptp-vpn-tunnel-os-error-not-supported-123087
My core problem is, that i cannot access our corporate network with my notebook via the BB Storm.
Since i am travelling a lot i need to sync files on our corporate fileserver. And IŽd really LOVE to use the BB Storm for it.
Do you have any idea how this can be done?
Thanks

Sorry, I dont have any personal experience with tethering and VPN. I just connect to a a local wifi network wherever I am and VPN in from there. Maybe someone else here has tried.

Hi all! I realize this post is nearly two years old now, but I have a similar need for a PPTP client on the BlackBerry. I have the BlackBerry Curve 8530. Is anybody aware if a PPTP client is available yet? If not, I see Shao128 mentions that one could use BPS Express to hop on to ones intranet. I cannot seem to find anyplace where I can download BPS Express. I am able to download BES Express. By any chance is BES Express a followup or replacement for BPS Express? Would BES Express also allow me to access my corporate intranet from my Curve 8530?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!!
John.
