phone no longer working after black bezel swap..help!

hey guys i just did the black bezel swap and now my LCD screen wont turn on anymore..i just get a bunch of lines..the phone is on because when i hit the number buttons i can hear it..but there's nothing showing on the screen. i've opened it again and again checking the connections and everything seems fine...has this happened to anyone?

Haha, unlucky. I was thinking about doing it but the disassembly video scared me off for that very reason.

The screen is probably not connected properly.

Pretty sure there's a tape connector, I'd be double checking that obv

already checked it like 20 times. the harness at the end of the lcd ribbon is on tight.

email or call the company that sold you the bezel? they may have had customers that have run into that issue.

Eep. I would just calmly look at the disassembly video and see if you missed a step.

yeah that scares me off from doing this as well. they do have a good re-assembly video, but i still wouldnt mess with it! i wonder if somehow the ribbon cable got damaged in the process? with the lines, i would say that something is def going on that may not be correctable. you may have to just put the old one back on and get with your provider and see if they'll cover it. i'm not sure though since you opened it yourself. good luck.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I would definitely take this advice and rewatch that video, several times if necessary. This is exactly what I am afraid of happening if I swap. I'm still on the fence. Good luck bro
