OK. It did give me the option to go ahead with the "upgrade" even though it thought it was a "downgrade". Installing right now.

Glad you got it working... I find that delete the previous OS and also wiping the device to be a lot better. I believe that w/o the wipe, so of the negative effects on the previous OS may continue.

Hi,

I upgraded to .216 yesterday and everything is working great too! Battery life seems much better, but that's just feeling, not any kind of scientific method to it.

I was wondering if you thought the camera quality is better now? I didn't like the picture quality, so I didn't take too many pictures to compare before and after.

Thanks.

.216 works great for me. The only problem I see is that if I go to a picture and try to hide it, instead of hiding it justs closes the program as if I pushed the end button.

question about upgrading multiple BBs on the same PC...
i have a 9000 and I did an upgrade to the .214 on it.

My wife has a 8300 and has never done any upgrades.
If I want to do an upgrade and I download the new OS, will the BB know to take .108 for the 8300 and not take .214 for the 9000 or will I have to uninstall the Bold's OS from the PC first?

I have done multiple phone type (9000, 8310, 8110) upgrades from the same PC and never uninstalled any versions so I don't think it will be a problem for you at all. Just install the update you require and go for it.
