No Youtube!

Bold 9000 v5.0.0.1079: youtube videos won't play from browser, in fact they are not played at all, neither on 3G nor on Wi-Fi. External players like VuClip do play Youtube, but that's not convenient.

See if you can find the install file for bolt browser...it works on there...Or even Opera

I do have a BIS data plan. If I use Opera browser, will it use my BIs traffic or the additional cherges will be involved?

Did you set the right provider APN settings ??

Why would I need the APN? I'm using BIS from my provider and Wi-Fi. Why would I need a TCP/IP. I've used a 9700 and 9780 before, the APN setting was always off/empty and Youtube played perfectly. Thanks!

Because the bb mediaplayer use the anp for streaming video, it uses the provider settings to play youtube.
When I turn off my apn youtube and other streaming media don't work.
I also have a full internet plan.
Only strange that it with wifi also not works with you because when I turn the apn off by internet it don't works but wifi yes
