Default No "Setup Email" on my New BOLD???

    Hello guys,

I have had my phone for several days and have not been able to setup my email accounts. There is no "Setup Email" button on my phone... there is a setup wizard which has "setup email" but it only gives me the enterprise option. Is my phone missing something??/ oram I looking in the wrong place???

I did go on ATT/Blackberry set up accounts website and did the setups but I still get nothing???

    Help if can.

    Thanks,
    P

You sure the icon isn't just hidden? Go to the menu button and choose "show all" if you haven't already tried that.

Try to register the device with the mobile network

Options - Advanced Options - Host Routing Tables - (menu button) select "Register"

You should receive a registration email along with new icons appearing. When I upgraded my OS I had to do this, and also when I switched initially to the Bold from a Curve 8320 backup I did also.

Also try to register your email accounts online via your providers BIS website (I'm not sure what provider you have since I'm mobile at the moment, but att is att.blackberry.com).

After you set up your email accounts there, send the service books via online (usually the left hand menu says "service books")

Last thing, make sure you have BIS blackberry plan and not BES provider plan. This could also be it depending on your service provider.

    Hope this helps.

My bad, didn't see the last line. You have att, so def register the device as shown above and try to use the att BIS website to set up your emails if after registration you don't see a new icon.

If all else fails, call att and tell them what's up. Might have a BES blackberry plan.

It was AT&T!!! They had my Iphone still registered. They had to register the Device and setup Blackberry plan. So now I am on and live!!!! Still having Mac sync problems which ultimately may be the deal breaker for me.

For syncing use Missing sync. Or you can use busy sync mixed with the google contact sync of the OS to wirelessly sync the blackberry with google contacts and calendar as well as the computer using Google Sync.

I'm not surprised. When I had AT&T last year, I had the iPhone and went to a BlackBerry. Somehow they added BIS (for the BlackBerry), but it still had the iPhone data plan, also. So it didn't work properly for me.

Verizon added BES to my account instead of BIS, even though the guy was telling me the difference (I ask to make sure they know what they are doing, which still didn't help).

Glad you got it worked out... as for the Mac syncing.. hopefully you will get that fixed, also.
