for AT&T users...is there something additional that has to be installed to get VVM and SMS working correctly?

I have been running this for about a week and didn't have to do anything to get the VVM and SMS working correctly. I did a full wipe using BBsak before I installed it.

Nothing wrong with it now, I'm still on 4.6.0.304 and before I updated I wanted to know if there was any additional software that needed to be installed.

On the 5.x version do you see SMS "threaded"? Do you not mind that the SMS typing window allows only about four lines and cannot show all 160 characters you are typing?

Can you get forwarding calendar entries to work?

i have a few questions about the OS 5.0 and i didnt really think they deserved their own thread so i thought here would be a good place to post.

first off, when does this officially come out to download? like on the blackberry site, not a third party. also, whats really different? the only difference ive heard is threaded sms texting. am i really missing a lot by using whatever my phone came with?

The threading of SMS is not that impressive either. The screens look nice but looking nice is not really that important here, right? Otherwise we would have bought iPhones. Not having all 160s of an SMS visible is ridiculous. The other much touted benefits such as tagging of email messages requires BES server, and forwarding of calendar entries still does not work.

seems to be nice and fast so far. No more bedside mode bugs from what I've noticed.

The link in the first post of this thread is to the official RIM site, not a third party.

So this is an official carrier release (of the previously-leaked version), but NOT an AT&T official release? Does it matter? The last time I tried to go from 4.6.x to the Bell 5.0.x I ended up having mondo problems (VVM, SMS, dropped calls, etc.) On 4.6.0.304, which according to the ATT site, is the latest official one from them...
