Default new trackball

Just a question to all bold users who have changed their housings, when you put a new trackball in, how long does it take to wear in. Sometimes having trouble moving the trackball up and down and it get stuck and then starts working any suggestions I can use to help the trackball moving?
Thanks

I replaced the trackball on my 9000 several times and there wasn't a wearing in period, it worked perfectly each time.

Every now and again maybe you could press down on the trackball slightly whilst moving the ball up and down, this may help loosen it up.

Agreed. It should work perfectly when it's replaced.

if you are careful with the trackball, it can last for months. but if you take it around steamy or wet environments, you may have to replace it. search the old threads of using something like isopropyl alcohol to clean the ball.

Agreed. I've replaced mine. Should work out of the box.

I did make the mistake of installing mine wrong the first attempt. I put it in rotated through 90 degrees so the top wouldn't clamp down over it and it was loose in the housing.

Once I sorted that out no problems.

Thanks everyone for your help, took it too a repair place and the replacement trackball wasn't a real one, was synthetic and that's the reason it wasn't working. Housing is good, keypad was faulty and trackball too. Got an official new trackball. Now working great

Thanks again
