New Bold

Sorry for an additional thank you thread but I felt like I had to.

Got my bold today, had the hand me down of hand me downs Curve 8300 but never did much with it.

Anyway, after reading here the last few days I have:

Work and personal emails set up and working
Installed:
Opera Mini
Google maps
Viigo
Youmail
Pandora
Blackberry Appworld

Installed v4.6.0.226...nearly sh#t myself at how long I watched that hourglass...but all is well.

Thank you all for your time and willingness to share your experiences, I can't imagine going through this on my own.

Now my first question....I need a clip/case/skin....something that will protect my new berry when I am out on a construction site? I have looked at the otterbox but while it appears to be excellent protection the damn thing looks so bulky. Any suggestions?

Congrats!! Yes, the otterbox is nice and offers excellent protection but it is bulky. I use a bse screen protector and a rubber skin. But I don't work on a construction site. Sure you don't want to use your Curve for the job site? : ) I'm sure some of the fine folks here will have some ideas for you. And yes, this site is phenomenal.

Thanks for the replies so far.

As for the old curve, it was a relatives who must have dropped it more times than he caught it. Screen is scratched, hit the 9 key and you get 99999999999999s, type in an "a" and instead of a * you get dddddddddd's. Go figure.

I used it until my generic flip phones upgrade was due.....and now im here.

Congrats on your bold. As skyjackal suggested, Otterbox will a good choice for you as you work at a construction site. It is quite bulky but will protect the device...
