Ok first we'll determine which OS exactly you have.
On your BB, simultaneously press ALT+SHIFT+H to open your Help Me! screen.
The 3rd or so line down should say list the "App Version." This is your OS version#. What is it?
Next we'll see if you have any OS's installed on your PC.
On your PC, go to Computer/Local Disk (C

/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/Loader Files.
What is the highest version listed there? On each item there, you're looking at the 2nd set of numbers following the "v".
Lastly, we'll refer to the BB website to check the highest OS version currently official for AT&T.
On your PC, go here:

Answer back those questions and I'll tell you where to go from here.
EDIT: AT&T highest available version for download from RIM is 5.0.0.1067.
Please answer back regarding my first 2 questions.
