Default need help upgrading to OS 5.0.0.1067

hello.
i am using
BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.1137 (All Languages)

Package Version: 5.0.0.1137
Consisting of:
Applications: 5.0.0.681
Software Platform: 5.2.0.64
File name: 9000jAllLang_PBr5.0.0_rel1137_PL5.2.0.64_A5.0.0.68 1_Globe_Telecom__Inc.exe
File size: 150.13MB

right now.

in the blackberry website. it says that for my service provider, it is the latest OS.
however, i see in this site that with AT&T, there is a more recent version. and i want to upgrade my OS to the latest due to some apps not seeming to work properly.
im talking about kakaotalk. it works fine with chatting, the only thing is i cant upload a profile pic or send a pic. and i suspect its because i dont have the latest version.
it also always say at the beginning of the app that for maximum performance, i shoudl upgrade my OS to the latest.

now i tried to install the one from AT&T which is 5.0.0.1067.
but when im trying to upgrade using desktop manager, and clicking "check other versions", it doesnt appear although i already installed 5.0.0.1067 in my computer..
also would it be okay to update using a download from another provider?

but my connection.
they said its hard for kakaotalk to upload picture using 3g.
and i should use wifi.

but then, my blackberry connects to wifi. it has a signal meter and all that but it seems that its not working, i cant browse the net with wifi.
how can i make it work

Make sure your browser is in hotspot mode and not in "internet browser" mode.
Open your browser and menu - options - browser configuration - change browser in hotspot browser. Also you CAN upgrade to the last os 5.0.0.1079 its official.
Install this os and use the bb loader to upgrade not dm, before you need to BACKUP all your data with dm and your app with BBSAK then use the loader.exe to upgrade.

I upgraded my os to 5.0 but now everytime I connect my phone to my desktop manager it says I need to update my os. So I have done this several times and every so often my phone will blackout and the red light will continue to flash. I have to connect to the desktop manager and it will say again that I have to update my os. I check my os on my bold 9000 and it says os 5.0. Can someone tell me how to fix this issue?

Ok first we'll determine which OS exactly you have.
On your BB, simultaneously press ALT+SHIFT+H to open your Help Me! screen.
The 3rd or so line down should say list the "App Version." This is your OS version#. What is it?

Next we'll see if you have any OS's installed on your PC.
On your PC, go to Computer/Local Disk (C/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/Loader Files.
What is the highest version listed there? On each item there, you're looking at the 2nd set of numbers following the "v".

Lastly, we'll refer to the BB website to check the highest OS version currently official for AT&T.
On your PC, go here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4

Answer back those questions and I'll tell you where to go from here.

EDIT: AT&T highest available version for download from RIM is 5.0.0.1067.
Please answer back regarding my first 2 questions.
