need help with a question

I got a bold 9000 from a friend of mine but am on sprint but I still need a back up phone and I am just wondering if I could use the bold 9000 its on ATT but if I could use it on there prepaid service with a prepaid sim? Any info would help me out thanks Mike

No, Sprint uses CDMA and not GSM. You can unlock the 9000 and use it on T-Mobile but not on Sprint.

No my question is to use it on ATT's prepaid service with my 9000 as a backup until I get my 9900 I knew it wouldn't work on sprint.

There is no reason not to use the ATT prepaid sim.
You will get phone service but not full BB service.
For that you will have to ask ATT for BB service.

Your other option is a TMobile prepaid sim.

Well the bold 9000 is for ATT that is why I was gonna use a prepaid ATT sim with there prepaid service. I really just wanted to make sure that doing that would allow me to use the phone I heard that I wouldn't be able to use the BB services if I was only using prepaid.
