My BB 9000 charges and discharges very quickly

Hi,

I seem to have an issue with my BB Bold 9000. The battery was empty, and I connected it to my laptop via usb to charge. It's been 20 minutes, and it shows that half of the battery was charged. This DOES NOT seem right. Also, the battery discharges very quickly. Does this require a new battery, or it's something in to be done in the settings? Many thanks!
