Mobi4Biz
Full disclosure: I work for MobiTV.
I would love to get your feedback on one of our new products - Mobi4Biz.
Has anybody tried it yet? I haven't seen any chatter on this forum.
It's a new app we built that's targeted at the financial markets. It's only available on the AT&T Bold so far. You can check all your stocks (performance, charts, etc.), see video clips related to those stocks, and watch four live TV channels. Video is sourced from Bloomberg, CNBC, FOX Business, and thestreet.com.
To download it to your phone, open this link in the AT&T MEdia Net (WAP) browser. It won't work in any other browser.

There's a free 1-day trial, but you have to cancel it within 24 hours to not be charged.

If you want us to test your software you should give us more than 1 day to play with it... How about a week or 30 days. Then we will be able to tell you what you can improve on. 1 day trial is not enough.

1-day trial....really???????

More than a day, and not automatically start charging after that. It should stop working after the trial unless you pay. I think everyone over the age of 10 has had a bad experience with this type of trial.

ive had the phone for 11 days now, upgraded os to .247, unbranded using a different vsm, and, worst of all, i have broken the warranty seal because i blacked the bold out... - 01-17-2009, 10:53 AM

I found out we did offer a 30-day trial for CES which is still available. Text BIZ to 43888.

The 30-day trial is opt-in. After the trial expires you will NOT be charged unless you choose to subscribe.
Please let me know what you think. - 01-19-2009, 11:16 AM

For now it's exclusive to AT&T.

Does at&t care abput releasing the product in canada? I've been following your program and have many interested parties in your product. The search feature would be a big differentiator from just streaming CNBC from my slingbox.

AT&T is only in North America. A Mobi4Biz release in Canada would likely be through a Canadian carrier.

The content deals are very geographically restricted.
Has anyone tried the app yet? I'd love to hear some feedback. - 02-03-2009, 07:10 PM

What didn't you like about it? I'd like to hear any suggestions for improvement.
Sling makes a good product. Mobi4Biz is different from Sling because it's tailored to the financial vertical. All you have to do is select your stocks and it automatically shows you near-real-time video clips related to your stocks (via tags).
It also has live streams from CNBC et. al. which admittedly is not much of a differentiator if you have Sling and if you have those channels on your home TV.
