Have read through some old posts but only find comments such as "save all data onto external hard drive or desktop" - a bit late after the fact don't you think?
Well the problem is that data is dropping off the media card (8Gb Sandisk), first I lost some valuable photo's and now a document from Word To Go has gone.
Have run check disk (chkdsk) on the pc but with no success and also connected to external card reader but the documents and photo's are just not there.
Any up-to-date suggestions please?

First of all i suggest you to make backups, don't keep a single file saved on a micro SD card, those cards are not that reliable and can get lost.

Secondly, Maybe the problem is with the card itself? you can try to use another media card..
