    Default Low battery logic changed?

My older BB's used to cut off the radio as they went flat to retain off-line PIM functions for as long as possible.

I had my .167 Bold go down to 5% battery yesterday and the radio was *still* on. Also at 10% the LED started flashing green, and a "low battery" status appeared on the home screen.

Left it on charge (from 5%) over night. This morning when I woke up the background image on the home screen had been reset to default - which I hadn't noticed the night before.

Is all this what others are seeing?

Yeh, Kevin mentioned this in one of his Bold pre-release reports. The radio just keeps on going until the battery is dead, apparently. I never let mine go below 40% personally which is around a day of usage, so I've not got to see this, but my work Bold dropped below 20 and was still chugging away.

40% left after a day? Oh those were the (8300 Curve) days... I'd often have 85% left on the 8300 after a day.

Actually I normally have 50% or more left on the Bold after a day, but played with WiFi and 3G browsing a fair bit more than normal Sunday, and that really killed the Bold's battery. I may try using it in my "Curve" mode (GPRS only, and Bluetooth left on) and see how it compares.

I read around on this forum and someone posted a trick to force on the wifi and network when the low battery indicator shuts them off.
Does anyone know how to do that because I don't remember where I found it.
