Default Locating backup data

I have a Bold which crashed this week, they sent me anouther one which I received today. I put my memory card, sim card, and battery from old to new. I have some pic on the phone now but no contacts etc. I am trying to do a restore from desktop manage but really don't know what i'm doing. When i click for it to restore it ask for a file name and I am clueless where there is a backup. Can anyone advise?????

Well, I thought I had. I am one of those guys that once the phone works, I don't worry about it until something like this happenes. I have hooked it up to desktop several times, sync music and pictures, really not sure bout backup though.

No, it had a white screen with an error message on it. I did try turning it on without sim card in it and it powered up and looked normal but didn't have sim card in it

I wonder how often a majority of crackberry users backup lol. I do it once every week, at most every two weeks.

Remember that each time you backup it backups up exactly what you have
on your phone that very day.

I do a backup about 4 times week.

Forever29 tells you how to do it here.
