Liquid spilled in phone - now shuts off randomly

Ok I really need some help! The other day I had taken my battery off of my phone and it was laying on the table. My daughter accidently spilled some hot chocolate into the back of my phone while the battery was out. It wasnt alot of liquid but it did get in there. I immediately dried the liquid up and cleaned the phone. It came back on but now it keeps shutting off at random times. Is there anything I can do or is my phone ruined

i've heard if you put the parts in a bag of uncooked rice overnight it will completly dry up the parts... if you're still having problems, it might be worth a try...

My father had dropped his phone in a lake and he put it in a bag of rice for a few days. To his surprise, the phone now works. You might want to try it.
