issue with headphones and bold

so i bought a pair of westone um1 headphones and for a while they worked with my bold, but all of a sudden they stopped working. I tried the OEM blackberry headphones and also a set of Ultimate Ears SuperFi.3 headphones and they also work fine. Has anybody seen this where 1 set of headphones wouldnt work and others would?

NB: I did try the westones in my iPod Nano and they work fine.

I think the headphone jacks on Bolds are questionable quality. I've had problems with headphones on both my Bolds. Have to wiggle the jack to get the phone to recognize it's in there and when I take it out the phone doesn't realize it.
