Was I too good to my 9000?
Hey guys, I am wondering if I was too good to my Bold 9000.
Basically I spent 90$ getting the phone refurbished, ex housing trackball, battery screen protector, new keyboard etc. I am wondering was it worth it? I positively love the phone but im wondering if I spent to much on it.
Do you guys think it was a good move? Thanks

Only you can really know if it's worth it or not. If you really liked the 9000 in it's glory days it might worth it to just have it.

Nothing wrong with what you did. Do what you yourself want. I used to hate when some mechanic would ask me why I want to fix my old car, and why I don't just buy a new one. It's like, "Hey, buddy! Why are you talking yourself out of work here???"
Nah, it's only ninety bucks, and you have the BlackBerry you want and love.

If you like it and are planning on using it for a while than yes, it was a good move.
If you are going to sell it and can get your money back plus some then yes, it was a good move.
If you are planning to put it in a drawer and let it collect dust than no, not such a good move.

Lol no, I'm actually gonna use it for awhile

Its really a great phone. Even when I always buy new phones I always end up eventually going back to a 9000. If I'm not mistaken its also one of bbs best devices - 05-09-2012, 02:38 PM #6
hahahaha......Bold issues huh, I can't even remember how many times I've changed the whole housing because of a new scratch ! By now I believe the process is under one minute or so......LOL

Omg that's how I am Rayporsche
I've changed the keyboard about 7 times lol, and not with that aftermarket chinese keyboard crap either. I buy the original bb keyboards. I'm going to buy a new silver trim for it soon as its starting to fade. That's the only thing that I didn't replace.

I think you did the right thing, but I am biased. I just activated the new Bold 9000 that I bought on Amazon.com a few months ago. I tried using a iphone, but I just don't like the os, and the iphone is too narrow for me to type on effectively. I think you should be happy with your investment and enjoy a great (new) phone!

The 9000 was one of my favorites. Visually, it qwas stunning. It is probably the best looking BB I have ever seen. Performance was decent too I loved the keyboard although I replaced the keyboard seberal times. And it had a trackball which I prefer to the trackpad.

Do what you want if you can afford it, i love BB9900 so much and dreamed of having one, but i have no much money, once i can afford it i'll buy one immediately. good luck.
