Default I still love the Bold 9000

I bought one the other day for $50.00 off kijiji. Getting the Chrome Bezel and trackball replaced. I've had several BB's up to and including the 9900. I still prefer the size and form factor of the 9000 the best. I know all the restrictions with memory and battery life, but this was my Cadillac of BB's I used three years ago. Anyone else share the same opinion?

The 9000 form factor continues to be my favorite of all time. A 9000 style device with touch screen and upgraded functionality would be my idea of the perfect phone.

That's what I thought the 9900 would be. I liked the bigger size but I didn't like how thin it was compared to the 9000. The keyboard was different than the 9000 too. I still love the 9000 the best.

I like the Bold 9000 because it has a trackball. I am still partial to trackballs. For some reason I feel like I have more control over the trackball than I do with the trackpad. I don't really want the touchscreen either. I do like the camera and screen resolution of the 9900. This may seem weird, but I also like OS 5. But I think that I am just old school.

I feel the same way. Thinking of finding a mint 9000 and just putting it away in a glass case. This is the phone was King in it's time.

I like Os 5 and the 9000 too. I prefer the 9900 and OS 7. But to be honest, I can do everything I want on either device. I text, email, call, listen to music, surf the web a lot, take pictures/videos, BBM and so on. Regardless of android, iphone, windows, palm or blackberry...I use my phone for the same things today that I did when I had an 8120 and none of the multiple cores or high density displays have changed that. I prefer the OS and keyboard of the BB bold models and I do love the 9000, 9700 and my current 9900.

I believe most people have the same smartphone needs today that they had a few years ago. I didn't realize that until I went back to the 8330 from having iphones and Android phones and still being able to do all of the things I would normally do.

9000 was my first BlackBerry, really good phone. I haven't really like any BlackBerry as much as the 9000 untile the 9900. Love the 9900 but still have a white 9000 that I fixed up for a 2nd phone. Besides the browser and low memory the 9000 pretty much still does everything very well!

Been on BB's since the early 6000 series days. Been on every significant series change since. Still have an 8800, 9000, 9800. 9000 has been my fav.

My 9000 was "retired" earlier this week and bumped for personal use by the 9800. The 9800 was my corp phone and was replaced, by my employer, by another "brand" (no, not "i").

The 9000 is the best keyboard ever (well ok haven't tried the 9900)

@ comment about smartphone needs changing, I used rooted android for a year and a half before it broke and I was forced to go back to the 9000...

The only thing I can't do as well on the bold is waste time! I can't imagine how awesome the 9900 must be

Coupled with the PB, and I find it very productive. Also Delfteo has some solid OS's

I haven't yet used a 9000 however I would like to buy a good condition 9000 off Ebay.

They look so cool and obviously the classic.

It would be nice to use the 9000 on the odd day here and there whilst leaving the 9900 indoors.

The 9000 was my first Blackberry, and yes it was a brilliant phone. It seems out of all of my friends with blackberries that I'm the only one that prefers the trackball to the flat pad on the other BB's. But alas that phone died on me months ago and I'm now on the 9900.

Cool stories ! well, it is good to know that I am not alone with the 'BoldHabit'.....after a long time I finally gave up my iPhone and returned to the Berries, I drive a 29 years old car and there is nothing wrong with that, say the Bold feels like a good old swiss knife ready to take care of business and whanot.......

The 9000 is the phone I use When I go out to drinking.
I just wish it had more internal memory for apps. I need them for everyday task. If there was only some way to upgrade the RAM this would be my everyday phone.

Agree. I still have my 9000 although can't use it because of memory issues, so I got the 9900 that is basically the enhanced version of it.

Love using my 9000. Everyone wonders why I don't get a new phone. I'm pretty sure all i would do is waste my time playing games or something. I need email, a phone, and bbm with a good keyboard. My 9000 is just that. I love it.

I'm back to using my 9000 after dropping my 9780 and like it just as much as when I first got it. Can't decide on a new BB just yet so will continue to use the 9000 for a while yet
