So I upgraded my OS for the first time and now I'm regretting like none other. I lost my theme, bricked my berry 3 times and apparently BIS isn't working now. I have to go install all the apps again too. Ugh. Anyway, I was hoping someone could do me a HUGE favor.

I'm looking for the theme I was using before, but I can't find it to save my life. Here's a description of it.

Today theme
6 icons on the bottom (zen icons i believe?)
Icons flash a couple times when you hover over it
Messages at the top
Calendar at the bottom
Black leather background (default)
Free
The theme name had com_plazmic (?) in the beginning I think

I know it's a lot of ask for, but I would greatly appreciate it if someone can help me find this theme.

How is it that I've done 2 upgrades on my Bold, and have never lost anything?

You must be doing something wrong, like not searching the forums on how to backup your stuff.

You can find what you need through your BB App World, and also in the Themes forum for the Bold. Plazmic has many themes, or just use the search feature.

I know it was a long shot but I thought I'd give it a try. I remember getting it from one of the users on Crackberry. And I know there are like a million users so I thought maybe someone would know what I was talking about. Haha. Thanks.

Well I had the HARDEST time trying to upgrade because my application loader kept crashing. So someone suggested me to use Master Control Program.And by doing so it completely wiped the entire memory. I was able to retrieve my messages and such through restore, but not applications.

I upgrade and downgrade with anything "hot" that comes out. I've never had a big problem, just this time, ALL of my SMS got wiped after half a day of usage.

You're very welcome! The mentioning of a leather background gave it away. I had used a theme by djmarcox in the past prior to creating my own custom theme.

Wooo hooo...saneinone saves the day I have had issues also with the os upgrade too...thanks for the help I finally figured it out on this end too!!! first upgrade sucked

well it sounds like you didnt back anything up, including your 3rd party apps. i mean come on. i backed up everything when i did my .266 upgrade and once the OS was done installing, yea its a clean slate with the stock theme. once i restored everything, bam, back to normal again.

Yeah, I remember rebuilding from scratch. No fun. Sorry you're having to do that. I'd find a link but searching and copying links sucks from the phone's browser once you've already started a post. Just do a search for Crucial_Xtreme's thread about how to backup third party apps. I completely wipe my phone between every up/downgrade I do, and I never lose a thing. Next time definitely don't type "BrickBerry" if you're not prepared to deal with resurrecting a brick.
