...I'm hoping there may be some newer information. I am a VZW customer and love their service but hate their phones. I was so excited for the Storm and was going to be one of the many who sat outside freezing for hours before the stores opened, but I changed my mind at the last minute. I've wanted a Bold since it first hit BGR and crackberry back in May but I'm unable to switch providers.

Is there any new info of when the Bold may come to VZW?
Any other Bold-like devices (Javelin??) coming to VZW?

I currently own a Voyager and I hate it. I'm about to just buy an old Curve. Help.

you wont get it for a long long time. by the time you do it might even be the 9100 model.

Why can't you switch providers? Because of your contract? I was with VZW (Pearl 8130) and was, luckily, able to break the contract early with no termination fee because reception near my home was lousy. They performed a quick test over the phone and determined that I was eligible to break the contract for that reason. I switched to AT&T and got the Bold. Maybe you can do the same?

I sort of realized that I really don't want a touch screen. I've had the iPhone and Voyager (currently) and as much as I loved the iPhone nothing beat a physical keyboard.

What about the Javelin/Niagara? You think that may come to VZW at some point soon?

Well I would totally switch to AT&T but I don't currently pay for my phone bill. I'm on a family plan for now and It's the difference of paying about $40 for my current line (on top of the family plan), or paying about $90 for an individual plan on AT&T... unfortunately, that's not an option.

Anything unlockable I could get for VZW?
