thank you for the great write up!

i've gone through the process and have been able to send the TMO service books via the website. but i still do not have a browser. i still have the same browser and when i try to click on it, it says "This is a WiFi service. Please ensure your device has an active WiFi connection and try again." When i go to the browser options, i only have HotSpot Browser...there are no other choices.

also, i don't have any options on sending an MMS.

thank you in advance for your help.

When done correctly you will immediately have a fully working browser. The sending of service books only restore your email. Which service books did you use? With or with out AIM.

Try it again with the AIM ones. They do work. But I have found them to not want to load each time. Now that you know how it should look when done you'll know what to look for.

Default WiFi while on a call?

OK - I Did the update and Web via EDGE & WiFi works great; SMS & MMS check out fine.

I understand that there's no UMA calling (booo!). But, shouldn't I still be able to access WiFi while on a call? This was a great feture on my T-Mo Curve as I was able to send & receive email & browse the web whilst on a call.
Is there a setting for this, or am I SOL?

WiFi is running OK and I'll be on the web etc. I go to make a call (Prior to attempting the task, the WiFi indicator is white [active]).

As soon as I attempt the Web browser, down at the bottom reads:
Requesting... (Blue progress bar continues across the bottom at a slower & slower progreesive pace until the following error occurs:
A communication failure has occurred. The sever may be busy, plese try again later. If the problem persists contact your service provider.

At this point the WwiFi indicator is grayed out. Upon completion of the call, WiFi goes back up to active status.

Check all your settings and ask around. I don't have a Bold at this time to replicate what you're seeing.
