How to send emails from different accounts
I have my personal email which is a gmail account. The gmail account is the one tied to my blackberry. I recently got a work email that I get forwarded to my gmail. On the computer it is no problem bc I can just choose which address I want my emails to be sent from. If I am sending one for work I just click work email and it sends it showing that as the address.
The problem I have on my BB is if I add my work account to it I am going to be getting every email twice. All I want is the capability to send emails from my phone that appear to be from my work email rather than the gmail account just like I do on my computer. Is this possible? Thanks in advance. - 10-15-2009, 06:39 PM #2
When you compose a new email go to the top where it says "Send Using:". It will send from your default email address. You can change it to any other address that you have configured on you BB.

I don't think you can.
You have 2 email addresses
1 is gmail, 1 is your work address.
your work address goes to your gmail which goes to your phone.
You need to find out if you can just use your work address separately and don't send it to gmail.
Do you have regular POP access to your work email if you wanted?
If you don't know, ask your IT guy to find out for you.
For now, you're only getting your email from gmail..no way that i know of to add an address without it being set up on your phone as a received email address. - 10-15-2009, 07:04 PM #6
What if you installed the Gmail App for the Blackberry and setup the following screen to always send from your work address? Gmail App works well for me, does notifications as well. I use it to keep my Exchange and Gmail accounts far apart from each other.
