How to restore default ringtones - AT&T
I upgraded my OS to .185 and in the process lost the default ringtones that came on my AT&T Bold. I opened the backup I took prior to upgrading and the profiles database is greyed out. From what I've read they are supposed to be in there correct?
Any ideas on how to restore these without reverting back to the AT&T .167 load? - 11-19-2008, 11:17 AM #2
When I restored my bold with .185 all mine came back. Are there ANY tunes listed?
I seems at though you did not backup the profiles database.
To ensure you get everything, go to backup and then go to advanced and select EVERY entry on the right and move to the left. This will ensure that everything possible will be saved for future backups. - 11-19-2008, 11:18 AM #3
And if there are NO tunes listed, I'd reload the os using jl_cmder wipe and instructions here:

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "tunes" but I don't have any of the ringtones or chimes/alerts that came on the original OS. When I edit profiles like normal and try to choose an alert for calendar events I can see names of alert tones but anyone I select results in the same standard sound.
I went through the JL_Cmder process. Wiped the device, then restored the AT&T .167 image. I found that the only non-corrupt backup I had was post .185 upgrade. I restored that and still didn't have the ringtones and etc.
I then upgraded to .185 to at least get me back to the better image.
Does anyone know how I can get the default AT&T ringtones, chimes and etc. loaded?
