How to repair bold 9000 battery door latch?

Hello everybody, I have a bold 9000 with the battery door latch pushed in and I can't seem to get it unstuck. I know people tend to have issues with this and I would like to try to repair it myself if possible.

Is this something that can be repaired without purchasing a new latch?

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

not too sure but a new bezel with the door latch is only like $10 and takes 6 screws to take off, then you'll have a Bold 9000 with a brand new bezel also.
