How do I upgrade by Bold 9000 to OS 5?

My Bold 9000 is running OS4.6, but I want to upgrade it to OS5.

However, when I plug it in and run the desktop manager, it says there are no updates available?

Is there a way to 'force' the bb to update?

If you have a PC yeah. Just look up how to do it on here, really easy. OS5 is awesome on Bold 9000 also!

Searched right after I posted. I used the method the post says about wiping data, etc and I got stuck with the 507 error because the loader said the OS wasn't supported on my phone. Tinkered for 3 hours, and now its all good!

ahh please explain me how you did mine said the desktop software doesnt have the required software

there's lots of applications which could help to upgrade OS, such as BBbox, bbsak... search one by google and it's easy to use.

I too am trying to figure out how to upgrade mine bb9000 to OS5. Been searching the forum but cant find how to do it. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks much.

Hi, pls I really need help with upgrading my bb9000 to OS 5, I ve been stuck with error 507 for 2days now and I am still getting the same error A:0x00000001 Anytime I try loading the OS, I don't know what to do agAin, I ave gone through all the processes given by people in this forum , but nothing seems to work, pls I need help ASAP, Thanks.
