Default HELP! Bought Blackberry bold from US to use in UK

I bought a Blackberry Bold through ebay from the US, It's on an AT&T network and I was told it was unlocked.

Having had it delivered to the UK, I put my T-mobile sim in the phone, but the phone says invalid sim card and doesn't recognise my sim.

Does anyone know how to resolve the matter? Is it a fault with the phone?

    Many thanks

Doesn't sound like it's unlocked. Go to global unlock and see if you can get it unlocked. They charge 1.99 to do it. Good luck.
It was love at first touch with my BB Red Curve and then I held the BOLD!

Contact the seller first and if you are not satisfied file a dispute with Paypal.

verify that the phone is unlocked

    tools>options>advanced>SIM card
    Then type MEPD
    You will see a list.
It should say DISABLED under Network.
If it says active under Network, then it is not unlocked
